Itinerary

Day 1 of 3

Serengeti National Park

In the morning at 07:00 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and drive 382km to Serengeti (about 7 hours drive). You will pass the Ngorongoro Conservation Area before you reach the plains of the Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is the largest park in Tanzania and has a diversity of habitats and landscapes including short grass plains, savannah, thick bush, swamps, mountains, and lakes. Bizarre rock formations called kopjes dot the grassy landscape where predators are often seen.

Day 2 of 3

Serengeti National Park Full Day

You will have a full day of excursions in the Serengeti National Park on this day. Go on morning and afternoon game drives, and enjoy the famous "Serengeti sunset" from the camp. The center of the Serengeti, called Seronera, is a network of rivers that ensure dependable water supplies which attracts wildlife throughout the year. It is here that you'll have your best opportunity to spot the "Big Five" (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard).

Day 3 of 3

Serengeti to Ngorongoro

After breakfast, you will take a 3-hour drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for the Ngorongoro Crater descent which will be followed by a game drive. At midday, you will have your lunch at the base of the crater. Ngorongoro is one of the 8 Wonders of the World, and the crater is a very important refuge for a variety of wildlife. Most commonly seen are big elephant bulls and the vulnerable species of black rhinos. Upon finishing your afternoon game drive, proceed back to Arusha/Kilimanjaro.
